Week 3 EOC My Demographics

Millennials.
That is my generation, all of you out there born in between the years 1977 to 2000 we are one and the same. Our characteristic tendecies and i quote from the Marketing: An Introduction for Education Management Corporation, 10th Edition by Gary Armstrong &Philip Kotler is our "utter fluency and comfort with digital technology". Which I agree with 100%, my peers and myself included are some technological fiends! From the Ipods, computers, game consoles and cell phones it seems that our whole livelihood is fuled entirely by our desire for the newest tech gadget. It also describes my demographic group as being the new target for marketing companies which I also agree with 100% since we are becoming thee major consumers of this new technological push, we are taking the reigns over from the baby boomers and generation x and slowly coming into power ourselves. All in all I like my group and feel that our generation will turn this flipped world inside out or we may do more damage then ever before..who knows will just have to wait and see.

Week 1 EOC: Great Customer Service

Customer  Service, A commonly over used term  nowadays by today’s businesses maybe to common a term if you ask me, but as common as it is by those who use it it does not seem to be as popular in delivery as it is to preach.  Customer service is the main component of marketing to enforce your customer’s needs and wants is a definite way to increase business anything else is just bad customer service. Sadly my 20 years of life has almost made it seem like I was destined for the latter, receiving bad service as a customer that is. So much bad service has slammed its way into my already meek at best wallet that I find it hard to believe any “good” customer service quirk that a company pitches at me.  Kind of grinded me into that old man’s way of thinking “if it’s too good to be true, it probably is”. But that’s neither here nor there the purpose of this my very first blog posting ever was to try my best  to pick an event out my pain riddled customer unserved past that was actually “good”. Well one of my biggest concerns in life was the quality of  my haircut that I received from my barbers. I was never dedicated to one so I was constantly switching from barber to barber. The price wasn’t the problem it was the time spent and finished product, I was never pleased with my fade! I admit my lack of barber terms and hair styles at the time had to do with it but who cares I paid to look fresh fly and cool not be angry unconfident and 10 $ poorer then I was 30 minutes before. Anyway through my girlfriend at the time I found my way into the Masterpiece Barbershop  a clean barber shop with cool looking barbers what stuck out to me was the fact that they had pretty dope haircuts. Anyway I get my cut, but what stood out to me was that after I explained my lack of knowledge for the terms used for hairstyles he asked to give an example of how I imagined my ideal haircut to be. After I explained he nodded and commenced his work the time and techniques he used  to cut my hair I’ve never seen before and I’ve been to a lot of shops in my day. The finished result was great I loved it, it was a little more expensive then what I usually paid but the cut was so good I had no problems paying it. Great Service he even gave me a complimentary discount after I tipped even threw in a free cut on my next visit. Great marketing technique since I’ve been a weekly customer going on 6 years now. This was an example of wonderful customer service skills and more then that great marketing tools. He knew that the essence   marketing “is managing profitable customer relationshipswhich is proven by my constant returning case closed.

Week 3 EOC: Making Money for Good

Making Money for Good? Hmm what an intresting prospect and i'm not talking about making MONEY for LIFE. I'm talking about making money for a cause that benifits other people and does almost nothing for yourself other then gets you a pat on the back when you meet God or whoever you believe in. Charities are a prime example of making money for good causes. These are completely NECESSARY. Because if those who HAVE don't give to those who DON"T and are unable to then who will?
